In 2 Timothy, Paul shares some of Timothy's spiritual heritage, from his grandmother, to his mother, and finally to the young Timothy, pastor of the early church in Ephesus.
God loves you, and he uniquely created you for unique and divine purposes. You have a significant place in the Kingdom.
God loves you, and paid a great price to show it. You are his creation. All of the things that make you who you are: Your experiences, your skills, your talents, you abilities, and your resources. Everything about you has been designed for His kingdom and His purpose. Following his resurrection, Jesus traveled around shamelessly preaching the Gospel, and meeting the needs of the people. In the 2000 years since that time, those needs have not changed. People still need the church. People still need Christ. God has called us to engage the lost, using those resources that he has blessed us with.
